Using a randomized controlled trial design, Mathematica is conducting the impact evaluation of the Nutrition Project in 3 of the 11 intervention provinces (Central Kalimantan, West Kalimantan, and South Sumatra). The primary outcome measures include prevalence of stunting, child anemia, child diarrhea, low birth weight, maternal body mass index, and maternal anemia (second and third trimesters). The study will use household surveys, including anthropometric measures of pregnant women and young children and surveys with health service providers at the subdistrict and village levels, to measure the intervention’s impacts.
