概述 | The Affordable Care Act (ACA) was expected to reduce some of the persistent racial and ethnic disparities in the American health care system. We use data from the National Health Interview Survey to examine changes in insurance coverage under the ACA for non-elderly white, black and Hispanic adults. We use data from the National Health Interview Survey to examine changes in insurance coverage under the ACA for non-elderly white, black and Hispanic adults. We find that differences in uninsurance rates have narrowed for both black and Hispanic adults compared to their white counterparts, but Hispanics continue to face large gaps in coverage.
