This report presents findings from the third year of the evaluation of the Los Angeles Mayor’s Gang Reduction and Youth Development (GRYD) program. GRYD works to reduce gang violence in Los Angeles by providing prevention and intervention services to at-risk and gang-involved youth, their families, and their communities. Using a multimethod approach, Urban examined GRYD’s implementation, community-level impacts, attitudinal and behavioral changes in at-risk youth receiving prevention services, and stakeholder perceptions of GRYD’s impact. We found positive effects on youth risk factors for joining a gang and strong stakeholder support for the value and impact of GRYD activities.
