On 7 September 2015, Dr. Martin Hirschnitz-Garbers presented tentative project results from the ongoing project "A framework for Member States to support business in improving its resource efficiency", commissioned by DG Environment and running from January to October 2015, at the 4th Meeting of the Expert Group Greening the European Semester in Brussels. The presentation slides are available for download.

Showing first results obtained from literature review and a survey among Member State officials, Dr. Martin Hirschnitz-Garbers introduced interesting examples from the application of selected support measures for improving business resource efficiency in different Member States. After concluding with preliminary lessons learnt on the diversity of approaches applied in the EU-28, there was brief time for questions from the more than 50 Member State experts, Commission service experts, civil society organisation representatives and consultants.
