The Wellbeing of Nations surveys 180 countries using the Wellbeing Assessment, a unique method of measuring human and ecosystem wellbeing. It covers a wider range of human and ecological concerns than other yardsticks such as the Gross Domestic Product, the Human Development Index, or the Environmental Sustainability Index. This book is co-published by Canada’s International Development Research Centre (IDRC), the World Conservation Union (IUCN), and the International Institute for Environment and Development (IIED) at Island Press.
