摘要	In a new Policy Insight published just days before President Igor Dodon of Moldova is expected in Brussels for his first meeting with the European Union, Michael Emerson and Denis Cenușa express incredulity that he would risk committing economic suicide for his country in exchange for closer relations with Russia. Michael Emerson is Senior Associate Research Fellow at CEPS. Denis Cenușa is a Researcher at Expert-Grup, Chisinau. This text is also being disseminated throughout Moldova in Russian and Romanian translations.
