摘要 | This report describes the characteristics, service receipt, and short-term job outcomes of female customers leaving the Workforce Investment Act (WIA) Adult and Dislocated Worker programs in 2009. It also assesses gender differences and local variation in service receipt and outcomes. Females were more likely than males to face employment barriers before enrolling in WIA programs. Along with geographic factors, these differences mostly explained why women received more extensive training and supportive services than men did. |
